I put my dreams into hibernation. I fell off the path that goes through a bachelor's degree and a good job. No wonder I was so miserable until my early 30's! I was failing miserably at following someone else's agenda.

I've known for a long time that I could only be happy contributing to this world in a way that was uniquely my own - a way that only I could contribute. Blogging, graphic design, photography, and being a dad are the gratifying avenues through which I'm doing exactly that.

I don't think anyone should abandon their dreams. I'm a dreamer and a dream follower.

But I have to say, I do think we sometimes outgrow our dreams. We grow and we change. We dream different dreams, bigger dreams, lovelier dreams. I guess as long as we don't start dreaming safer dreams, weaker dreams, and dreary dreams, let's dream on! :P

Great post Frugal Dad, and great blog. I am enjoying all of your articles!

Hey there Mr. FrugalDad. I think noone should outgrow their dreams. My hubby was a mindless drone for Oracle but he always wanted to get into the game industry so he quit and applied for game companies. Now he has his dream job. I think I do still want to be a writer, but I can't possibly do it fulltime now. I am getting a lot of satisfaction in blogging, though.

Oh yeah, thanks for commenting on my article on Wise Bread!
