I enjoy your posts and I like to read the main points. My honest opinion is, for readers like you and I with numerous blogs we like to read, to the point is best. I’m not one for wordiness. I like that you bold some points in each post. I usually skip a lot of the rest of the content.

@Jen: Try using the FeedFlare option in FeedBurner (it’s under the Optimize tab). It allows you to select which options you want to display in the footer or each post. Hope this helps.

@All of you: Thanks for your comments. It sounds like the consensus is to do what feels natural, and so that’s the approach I’ll take. Most days I’ll continue to publish one article a day, but on days where I have a lot to say I’ll sneak in an afternoon post.

I love your content, but to be honest, I only check my daily blogs once a day. I’d read both posts, of course, but I don’t know that it would change my Frugal Dad experience that much.

On another note, I was wondering how you get your “Stumble This” etc. links at the bottom of your posts. I have a WP plugin right now that’s supposed to do that, but it’s counterintuitive and seems to have a lot of bugs…

I read via emails, so I don’t mind receiving more a day if you have more to say! (I still can’t figure out to do the RSS feed, so I really like receiving the posts as emails!)

I read almost every word. Comments, IMHO, aren’t the best barometer of an article’s popularity. I can’t comment on all the posts I read. I either have nothing new and original to add to the discussion or I just don’t have time.

Once a day is still fine for a blog with real substance such as yours. Frequency doesn’t make you a top blogger, quality content does.

I agree with Kaye. Write when you feel inspired. Either way, your readers will read your posts when they find a post interesting. Hope that didn’t sound mean. I find a great majority of your posts very interesting. Just stating the principle.

“I say post every time you have something to say. I love reading blogs daily, but don’t want to read something that was written just for the sake of having something typed for the day. Also, if you have an inspiration after you’ve already blogged for the day…go ahead and write another one. Don’t stifle inspiration for the sake of “rules.” =)

As a reader, once a day is fine by me. But if you want to post more often, that would be fine, too. I’ve got you on RSS feed, so I’ll catch it no matter what.

I do hope you’ll at least mention the books you’re reading, as some of them have caught my eye and I’ve put them on my list for the next time I head to the library.

I would say that if you can deal with posting multiple times a day, go for it! However, as a guy who blogs on multiple sites, one of which is seven days a week, I know it can be a tough schedule to do… let alone multiple times a day.
