She started out with a goal of 1 ton of food donated to food banks and reached that goal so quickly (one reader donated 1 ton all by himself) that now she is shooting for 2 tons. It's a great give. So, for example I see some spontaneous moment to help someone somewhere with something on behalf of my sister. On Christmas she'll open a chocolate truffle and a letter explaining what I did in her honor. I have asked for this gift from my children as well. I love the idea of nurturing their inner generosity. What better gift for a mother?
