Another tip I like to use is for visual affect. When I go out to yard sales and am driving by to get a quick look I am looking at different things. When I host a sale I always try to make it look like I have lots of stuff. I have some stuff on the ground on blankets, some stuff on tables and some stuff on racks. This helps grab more attention as there are different visuals to look at. Meaning to much to look at as drivng buy so you must stop and get out to look. I have had very sucessful yard sales. I use some of these same tips to have a sale that got me $1000. They really do work !

You can list is on craigslist too. That brings in lots of traffic.

I’ve never had a successful yard sale. I do not know what it is. Maybe it’s just not in the stars!
I usually gather things and make a donation to Goodwill and write it off on my taxes!
I always TRY to have a good yard sale…it just never seems to go my way even with advertising, good weather, etc….

This year we are going to participate in a community garage sale, where all neighbors pay $5 for a table and we get together in a park and do our individual sales. As my husband is likes to bargain, I want to see his reaction when he is in the sellers side! “Nope! I can not give that cheaper!” lol
