There are times when learning a few key pieces of information about something can help you to maximize the value you get from it. For example, I always used to think beer was unequivocally at its best when served ice cold. However, I recently was surprised to learn that most experts say beers are best served a little bit warmer—between 40 and 55 degrees. Between these temperatures, the flavors and aromas that make the beer experience complete are preserved and protected.
Beer and wine both can be wholesome elements of a healthy lifestyle, but they can become decidedly unwholesome if drinking becomes excessive. Excessive drinking is not only detrimental to your health, it’s expensive, and can easily become a drain on your finances if you’re not careful. However, when enjoyed responsibly and in moderation, some studies are beginning to show that beer can be as heart healthy as wine, and bears some other potential health benefits as well. Read on to discover the case for responsible beer drinking, as well as some helpful tips on food pairing and optimal serving temperatures. In my opinion, if you slow down and enjoy it fully, at the right temperature and with some nicely complimentary food, you’ll be far less likely to enjoy it in excess, and far more likely then to reap the positive benefits of beer. Of course, you should always consult your doctor about what is most beneficial for your own health. Enjoy, I hope you find it informative.

Jason nailed it. I wrote a blog post a few years back on Return To Manliness on the essence (and importance) of yard beer. My Dad would ALWAYS have plenty on hand in the beer fridge and guess what? – he knew exactly what he was doing for his health and wellness!!!
Only speaking for me and my experience.
I’ve been drinking beer since 15 and now 60. Even in small amounts it raises my blood pressure and perhaps even worse, my triglycerides.
Infographic duly posted on my fridge. Thank you Frugal Dad!
Here is to the infographic about beer. And its good one, quite informative
Thanks for combining two of my favorite things! Beer and Infographics!
Beautiful infograph! I like my IPA’s with San Diego spicy street tacos;) To find great craft beer in So Cal, San Fran, Denver and download TapHunter for free on iPhone or Android.
Cheers
Well done graphics and information condensed to an easy, eye-pleasing read. Cheers!
Nice graphic! This explains why my bones are practically indestructible.
Great infographic! Thanks for sharing. Bottoms up!
A very thoughtful posting on beer I like the way you handle the data in a graphic very clever well done. Cheers from Audax in Sydney Australia.
Very nice! I wish I was more into cheese now, but beer will have to suffice.
It depends on your definition of beer. REALLY cold temperatures (literally ice cold) reduce the flavor of any drink, including beer. If you think bud light lime is beer, I highly recommend drinking it as cold as you can get it, to inhibit the flavor. But if you drink a Westy 12 or really good IPA or porter or barleywine really cold, you’re wasting your money. Traveling in London a few years ago my friend and I saw billboards that said, “Fosters… brewed to taste best cold.” He turned to me and asked, “So they make it taste like crap on PURPOSE?!?”
An Australian friend of mine looked at me like I was nuts when I asked him if he drank Fosters. After a few four-letter words he put it in a way that most American’s can understand “skunk piss.” I laughed thinking about how marketing had gotten a country to believe that “Australian for beer” ment we should pay extra.
“So they make it taste like crap on PURPOSE?!?”
This is seriously the funniest and most dead-on-truth comment I’ve ever read. Cheers to your witty friend!!
Sharing this infographic on my blog:

What a great infographic!!! I think I’m going to have to have a salmon salad for lunch today along with a blonde ale to wash it down! Thanks for sharing!!!
Cool chart! Spreading the good news!
Oh boy! I’ll be sure not to let my husband get wind of this one!
Excellent, well presented and really easy to understand. Just going to figure out a way to use it!
What a great resource. There is not enough appreciation of beer-food pairings. Too many people go Corona or Dos Equis with Mexican when a hoppy IPA or American Pale match much better. Many thanks for putting this together!
I really needed the info regarding food pairings. Can’t wait to try it out!
This is the perfect layout for the whole food pairing and health benefit package rolled into one. Very nicely done. We’re going to put it on our site. Thank you for putting this together.
Prost!

What a stunning Infographic to show the benefits of Beer
Totally amazing.
Cheers.
Rob.
Stunning indeed! Did you design this infographic yourself? If not, who did design it? Because I have a job for whoever did it.
Frugal,
Thank you for pointing out more reasons why a growing number of us are beer lovers!
Cheers,
Bill Z.
