thredUP is an online space for swapping used clothing with other parents. This site seems like a great opportunity to save money if you have many quickly-
growing kids. Although I am somewhat skeptical of the quality of some of the clothing you might get sent. But it is certainly much cheaper than buying new
clothing.

The way it works is relatively simple. Once you have signed up for their free service, thredUP will send you ten USPS flat rate boxes. You then fill the boxes
with used (or pre-loved) clothing and post a description of them on the thredUP website. If someone chooses your box, all you have to do is confirm a time for
the box to be picked up. Whoever chooses your box pays for the shipping and handling. You then receive a credit that you can use to pick someone else’s box
(but you still have to pay $10.95 in shipping and handling). If you don’t have any credits (I believe you receive two for signing up), then you can still pick a box and
pay $5 plus $10.95 for shipping and handling.

Picking out a box is quite simple. You can search by things like gender, size or style to find the right clothing. thredUP also partners with different brands for
special deals on boxes. These can provide you with promo codes and coupons for special discounts. The brands they partner with change every month. For a
